Woven at Interiors

A space where innovation with wool meets ancestral knowledge and contemporary design. Working in collaboration with architects and interior designers, our practice brings Palestinian materials, craftsmanship, and local knowledge into contemporary interiors, blurring the boundaries between art and functional design.

Our work is not driven by trends, but rooted in a commitment to sustaining Palestinian identity and resisting its ongoing erasure. Through each commission, we seek to nurture a sustainable economy grounded in inherited knowledge, local labor, and the enduring relationship between people and land.
Carrying these threads into contemporary spaces becomes an act of continuity, where material, memory, and craftsmanship find new expressions.

A continuation of my artistic sculpture series, Borderless Weave, where I shaped the wool fibres for a lighting sphere.

A Woolen Body

Not of fire nor stone,

But fragile and alive,

Suspended

Between a land and a sky.

2025

In collaboration with Topaz Interiors, eight large-scale suspended metal shades were commissioned, incorporating hand-dyed Palestinian wool in soft salmon tones drawn from the interior’s colour palette.

Bringing together the warmth of natural fibres and the sculptural presence of metal, the installation introduces texture, rhythm, and a subtle interplay of material and colour into the space.

Woven from handspun and hand-dyed Palestinian wool, Zestful Bonds draws inspiration from Zest restaurant’s distinctive spirit of hospitality and the thoughtful care woven into every encounter with its guests.

Taking the restaurant’s visual identity as a starting point, threads unfold freely into vibrant forms, echoing the warmth, generosity, and meaningful connections that shape the Zest experience.

Through an open and flowing composition, the artwork brings together the richness of Palestinian wool, inherited craftsmanship, and contemporary expression, celebrating hospitality as an art of bringing people together.

2023

Commissioned for Youmake, a co-working space in Ramallah, this handwoven hammock draws inspiration from the sea of Gaza, its fishermen, their nets, and the shifting colours of its sky.

Inspired by traditional fishing-net construction, the weaving follows a structure in which each knot holds independently, allowing the net to remain intact even when a single knot breaks. A quiet expression of strength, resilience, and interconnectedness.

Suspended within the interior, the hammock carries longing for the Palestinian coastal landscape into the space, weaving together material, memory, and the company’s visual identity.

2023

Commissioned for DINAEVENTS, a wedding planning enterprise in Ramallah, this suspended wool installation draws inspiration from the delicate form of a bridal necklace. Handspun natural wool, soft hues, and cascading textures bring a sense of lightness and quiet elegance to the interior.

Created in collaboration with interior designer Yara Anabtawi, the installation enters into dialogue with the surrounding colours, painted surfaces, and greenery, bringing together material, form, and atmosphere to enrich both the aesthetic and spatial experience.
